Old Fashion Christmas Nails

To do this look I used a couple of techniques. One was the french manicure and the second was the feathered look
I started by doing a french manicure with Peace on earth by: China Glaze, then i did two curved stripes with Tuscan Sun by: Sally Hansen. Then I used a nail art brush with Peace on earth to do feathers on the right corner of each nail.
Then I added and rusty red rein-stone at the tip of the feathers to add dimension.
these colors remind me of and old fashioned Christmas and this combo looks really good together

let me know what you think?

Brown and Beige Nails

I had allot of fun doing this look
I bought 3 new shade this weekend from Sally Hansen, they were 3 for $10 at my local Superstore
I used Chestnut by: Sally Hansen to do the base and the I took Classic Camel by: China Glaze and a nail art brush to do the design. First I drew a diagonal line across my nail from one corner to the other. Then I drew an other diagonal parallel to the other. Lastly I painted half a flower on the upper half of the nail with one dot on the beside the flower.
let me know what you think.

Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen

Ok this is the third time I try these pens and again I'm disappointed. I don't know why I keep on trying them, maybe I'm hoping I find a method that becomes easier because the pen tip is awesome but the product is not. The paint is no very pigmented and it scratches of really easily and if you apply a top coat or clear coat the paint cracks. all in all I will not buy anymore of these what a Bummer

Antique Paisley

these nails were fun to do but the product I used was not so good but it turned out ok.
the color I used as a base was secret peri-wink-le by: China Glaze (I love this color) but the paisley design was done with the Sally Hansen nail art pen in white. the color was translucent and the paint cracked when top coat was applied that's why I called them antique paisley nails...lol !

New nail polishes for Fall 2010

New Sally Hansen nail polish coming out this fall

check out these lovely, earthy neutrals that Tracy Reese has designed for Sally Hansen. Sadly, these new colors don't go on sale until Fall 2010. I honestly can't wait to give these a try these colors are so natural and yet seem to be able to give really nice neutral hues to the nails.

OPI has drawn inspiration from several European countries in the past such as India, Hong Kong, and Britain. This fall, its next stop is Swizterland.
1. Diva of Geneva
2. Lucerne-tainly looks Marvelous
3. Glitzerland
4. Yodel Me on My Cell
5. The Color to Watch
6. Cucoo For This Color
7. I’m Suzi & I’m a Chocoholic
8. From A to Z-urich
9. Color So Hot It Berns
10. Just a Little Rosti at This Time
11. William Tell Me About OPI
12. Ski Teal We Drop

This collection is called Vintage Vixen and there is 12 new shades. They are very Classy colors and are perfect for the fall. Most of them are dark and have sparkles. sooooooo beautiful. Allot of them are neutrals and the others are dark blues, greens, greys and reds. I pick up the lightest shade of the collection called Classic Camel and I absolutely love it.

Orly new matte nail polish collection

I picked them up at my local Sally Beauty supply store for $6.99 CA. LOVE THEM !!

Sally Hansen Polish Remover

This is Sally Hansen's Maximum strength Polish Remover and I find that its the best out of all the drug store brands.
I do used allot of it and I go through a bottle every 3 weeks. I've tried so many different types and this one is the best by far. Seeing as a put so many layers of nail polish on my nails, this remover takes it off really fast and I'm not spending half an hour removing nail polish.
it is moisturizing and its for dry brittle nails, it has Vitamin E and Aloe to re-moisturize nails and cuticles leaving them strong and healthy.

Testing Nail Polishes

Sally Hansen Advance Hard as Nails

This product is perfect for people who do not have very strong nails, nails that bend very easily. Two coats and your ready to go. There is no need for a base coat or a top coat. its does all three on its own.
it comes in different colors but they are all light and natural colors.
It dries really fast and you can instantly tell the difference in the strength of you nails.

out of 10 I give it a 9. I wished it came in more colors.

L'Oreal Pearly white nail polish

This nail polish is smooth and goes on in 2 coats. It smells different than the other nail polishes I've tried and I don't know why (weird) LOL.
the brush is wider than most polishes and hugs the nails very well.
The only down side to this polish is that it takes a long time to dry properly, nothing I'm not used to though.

Out of 10 I give this nail polish a 8 only because I've had better nail polishes than this

CoverGirl 3 in 1 nail polish

I've used this Nail polish many times, it goes on in two coats and dries fairly fast.
as far as the 3in1 part of it, I don't think its any different then a regular nail polish. If I don't put my own base coat and top coat on, it doesn't last as long, it fades pretty fast and my nails absorb the color so they turn red and stay red for a long time.
It great for someone who is on the go and want to do there nails in a short amount of time

out of 10 I give it a 7 only for the fact that the 3in1 part of it does not work very well.

Milani 84 Green Glow

I tried this nail polish for the first time the other day and fell in love with the color.
You need at least 3 coats to have full coverage but the color is totally worth it. it would probably be better if you use a solid nail polish in the same color first and then add Milani nail polish on top for the sparkles and shine.

out of 10 I give it a 6 only for the fact that it takes many coats to get the full effect.

Sally Hansen Vitamine E Nail & Cuticle Oil

This stuff is great for cuticles that are flaking or for dry nails. It has changes my nails and has only made them stronger.
I use it every day and you must massage it in to your cuticle for about 60 seconds for each finger for best results.
Don't forget to wash your hands really well before applying nail polish or else the nail polish wont bond to the nail very well and it might cause premature chipping of the nail polish.
Don't forget people, you can use this on your toes too ;)
